Matt Bishop of the University of California-Davis Computer Security Lab has left the CVE Editorial Board. Matt has been a member of the Board since its inception in 1999,
and has played a key role in the development, growth, and adoption of CVE over the years. Matt was one of the authors of the CVE Board statement regarding the Council of Europe draft treaty on Crime in Cyberspace, which expressed concern that the proposed
treaty could have resulted in the criminalization of techniques and software that are commonly used to make computer systems more resilient. Matt was also an active participant in the planning of the CVE syntax change in 2013, which enabled CVE to continue
to scale with the increasing number of reported vulnerabilities. Thank you for your many contributions, Matt, and best wishes! The CVE Team |
